  • This paper demonstrates that Christian stewardship is properly done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In this trinitarian understanding of stewardship, Christian stewards are empowered through baptism to live as little Christs. One of the critical needs is to reground stewardship in baptismal theology. Baptismal theology also reveals the need for interpersonal relationships among God's people. Without interpersonal relationships it is almost impossible to communicate and teach wholistic stewardship. Finally, direction is given for the pastor and leaders of congregations in their role as stewards and ways in which they can promote stewardship principles within the context of the liturgical church year.
