Abstract
  • Assimilating new members into the life of a growing church is the subject of this project. Reading the benchmark texts that are available on the subject of new member assimilation, discipleship, and church growth gives this project its credibility. Sources range from the Bible to a variety of authors representing several Christian denominations. The laboratory for research is the Green Valley Baptist Church (Henderson, Nevada). This church enjoys a history of rapid growth. Control groups and existing church strategies are evaluated, and a perfected strategy for assimilation is developed.
