Abstract
  • The research question was: Will a nine week seminar on spiritual gifts, personal passions and personality temperament styles, preceded by a sermon series on spiritual gifts, help the participants understand and discover their own spiritual gifts and commit to using their gifts in service to Christ and the church? The project began with a questionnaire concerning spiritual gifts and one's purpose in the church. Next, a three part sermon series on spiritual gifts was used to educate and inspire members to participate in the seminar. During the seminar, students took inventories to discover their spiritual gifts, passions, personality, and temperament types and completed a ministry resume form. The Marginal Homogeneity Test (MHT) in SPSS 10.13 was used to test the data, which showed a statistical significance, indicating possible growth on the part of the participants.
