- Developing next generation leaders: strength-based leadership for children ten to thirteen years old
- Abstracto
- This thesis addressed the lack of intentional leadership development among children within a faith context. The researcher built a case for developing young leaders uniquely, highlighting the cognitive, physical, moral and spiritual development of children. The researcher identified generational attributes unique to today's child and strengths awareness as factors that will influence their development as leaders. The research was qualitative in nature using a multiple case study approach. Two leadership programs for children were studied, KidLead and J12. Based on the research, a set of principles was developed that would influence and inform leadership development programs for children.
