Abstract
  • The overarching goals of this study were to bring theology to bear on counseling and to bring women's experiences to bear on theologizing. The purpose of the practicum was to provide a setting in which counseling skills would be improved and in which awareness of women's experiences would be increased. The project provided an opportunity for reporting the practicum findings and incorporating this information into theological reflection. The student achieved these purposes through weekly supervision of tape recordings of counseling sessions, presentation and review of case conference materials with the practicum supervisor and a Richland College psychologist, and reading books and materials related to the area of concern.
