  • The author researched how to effectively use all of the different motivations the Bible provides to motivate Christian obedience in sermons while still remaining centered on Christ. The Bible uses many different motivations that at first glance may not feel Christ-centered to some. Some pastors ignore or even vilify motives such as the promise of rewards or the threat of consequences in the name of remaining Christ-centered. The author seeks to show that using all biblical motives correctly actually enhances Christ-centered preaching.
