  • The Art/Word experience was to help people make meaningful connections between art (visual and literary) and the ministry of evangelism. Elements of the study included acquainting participants with the grammar/vocabulary of visual and literary art, enabling group members to see connections between the creative process and the spiritual journey, exploring wholistic definitions of art, artist, evangelism and evangelist, and studying biblical material in a creative way that empowers people to live more intentionally in a scriptural context. At the end of Art/Word, participants were able to view art as a valid means of communicating biblical and theological truths.
