Abstract
  • This project is an effort to introduce the Psalter to the congregation of First Baptist Church, Eldorado, Texas, as a theological and liturgical resource for worship. The project included a study group that engaged in eight study sessions of the book of Psalms. This group then divided into five sub-groups, each of which was responsible for the ordering and implementation of a worship service centered upon a theme from the Psalms. The project also included the efforts of a project steering committee that sought to explore the plurality of the worshiping community through the use of oral interviews. Included in the final report is a commentary on twenty-one psalms that were introduced to the congregation during the course of the project.
