  • The purpose of the ministry project was to lead a local church body through an evaluation of alternative worship forms. Worship elements not used on a regular basis and found to be meaningful to baby boomers were labelled as alternative expressions of worship. Chapter 2 presents biblical principles used as criteria needed to properly evaluate worship experiences. The main issue of this chapter emphasized authentic worship to prevent the incorporation of worship elements which might be viewed as entertainment or novelty approaches to worship enhancement. Chapter 3 outlines baby boomer views on cultural and religious issues. Meeting baby boomer expectations in worship are described as those opportunities where cultural influences intersected with biblical foundations for worship.
