  • Pastors all over the world need to care for multicultural congregations, and multicultural congregations need the necessary skills to care for on another. Therefore, this project concerns pastoral and lay care in a multicultural context. The focus of the project is a local church where various cultures relate and interact. The practical application of the project involves a group of members from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This group will analyze the pastorate from a multicultural perspective as well as barriers that impede growth and relationships among the laity. The group will attempt to outline biblical and anthropological principles for multicultural ministry. It will report findings and recommendations to the church body for enhancing Christian multiculturalism, pastoral care and understanding the effects of ethnocentrism.
