Abstract

This project is the development of a preaching model intended to promote Christian discipleship in time commitment at Grace Tabernacle. The particular genre is expository preaching. The student's personal faith journey, theological views of Scripture and the embrace of expository preaching in discipleship development are highlighted. The doctoral paper provides a description of the context within which the project was developed, and the motivations that led to the founding of the congregation. The student implemented this strategy through a series of expository sermons followed by a focus group to reflect, respond, interact and evaluate relevance, contents, form and outcome. Appropriate instruments were provided to the group to facilitate the model.
