Abstracto

This project records the process of developing, teaching, and evaluating a course in church administration for Manna Christian College, Fayetteville, North Carolina, a Bible college owned and operated by the Manna Church, an independent, non-denominational church in the network of churches known as New Testament churches. A brief history of these churches and a description of their doctrine, worship, and mission outreach is given. Church administration is a valid course for students preparing to serve churches in the New Testament Church movement. Subjects taught were: the planning cycle, including material on the nature of vision, forming a mission statement, congregational assessment, goal setting, implementation of goals, and evaluation; leadership; decision-making; conflict management; staff relationships; time management; legally starting a local church; and church financial management.
