Abstract
  • In Be ye transformed: creating communities of greater spiritual practice where processes of transformation can flourish, the author studies multiple processes used to guide churches through transformation to see how they can be adapted to meet the unique cultural needs of ethnic minority congregations in a United Methodist Church annual conference setting. The author also studies theological motifs of Christian community as a foundational preparation for churches and annual conferences to engage in transformative ministry. The studies suggest that at the heart of any transformation for a local church or annual conference is a transformed heart and mind through embracing a robust theology for the Christian community.
