- Abstract
- To evaluate the effectiveness of a family systems model of the church for identifying potential lay ministry leaders through a leadership discovery program, twelve prospective lay leaders participated in a pioneer project in a Pentecostal church. the format consisted of six sessions conducted over a period of six weeks. The unique feature of this project was the employment of a family systems model, I. e., a relational emphasis. the sample group, while small (twelve), indicated a move in the desired direction of an increase (although not statistically significant) in the self assessment of the participant's leadership maturity.
