Abstract
  • Technologies of information storage and transmission have profound effects of societies. Electronic media create a fundamental shift from a 'propositional' to a 'narrative' paradigm. Worldviews fostered by the emerging electronic paradigm have much in common with the oral and manuscript cultures in which Scripture texts originated. The nature, foundations, and consequences of this shift are documented in detail, to support the thesis that participatory performance of Scripture is a powerfully effective mode of establishing and maintaining Christian community. A curriculum and introductory seminar designed to express that thesis in Christian education make up the body of the project.
