Abstracto

The project focuses on attendees at Central United Methodist Church in Monroe, North Carolina. The problem addressed the tendency of people to observe rather than to participate in ministry due to their lack of knowledge and understanding of spiritual gifts. It developed an equipping ministry launch that consisted of a twelve-week study of spiritual gifts using a preaching series, Sunday school lessons and small-group studies. The launch helped attendees gain knowledge and understanding of spiritual gifts and of their use in ministry. Three qualitative assessment tools determined the success of the launch: a congregational survey, focus groups, and interviews.
