This project examines the dialectical method of preaching as pastoral care in the African American tradition, testing and evaluating it with four dialectical sermons on pastoral care themes in Union Baptist Church (Lexington, NC). These sermons provide pastoral counseling that helps listeners grow spiritually and emotionally.
