Abstracto

The purpose of this project was to develop a strategy for Sonrise Baptist Church of Mobile, Alabama to move beyond growth barriers and establish a consistent strategy for continued growth. Sonrise was planted in 2003 and is located in the western section of Mobile County. This area of Mobile is growing rapidly with a variety of homes ranging from starter homes from young families to high end custom-built homes for the more affluent. With all of this growth in the community, Sonrise is experiencing steady growth. In spite of the present growth, the project director sees a need to establish a systematic plan to maintain healthy church growth through prayer, evangelism, and discipleship. The project director will evaluate community data, do research in historical and contemporary church growth, and do research in the current organizational structure of Sonrise. With the assistance of a Strategic Growth Team the project director will analyze potential growth barriers and establish a continued church growth plan based on community needs and church strengths.
