This project assesses some of the leadership factors needed to start strong missionally faithful Midwestern suburban congregations. Nine pastors were surveyed and interviewed to discern their theological visions and leadership strategies in light of a theology which sees God's church sent on a mission. The research discloses that leadership factors include a passionate outreach oriented vision that is cast in a way which embeds the vision in the culture of the growing congregation. Research also disclosed that suburban missional pastors know that the goal of their commission is the establishment of a viable congregation with a passionate vision for mission.
