Abstracto

The author administered this project to strengthen Plaza's lay leadership by providing intensive instruction on important aspects of The United Methodist Church and the common heritage it shares with all its local congregations. The project consisted of three training sessions, and a survey given to the fifty-one congregations of the Charlotte District in the WNCC. The pastor of a UMC congregation may have a clear understanding of his or her role, but rarely to the lay members have a similar understanding. The results of this project presented an understanding of the administrative structure and connectional emphasis of the UMC.
