Abstract
  • The thesis of this project is that by providing middle-aged adults in a Christian education setting with a curriculum on aging containing biblical resources, theological soundness, and selected gerontological material on the dynamics of aging, they will gain a more informed understanding of themselves as aging people, have opportunities to grow in their spirituality, and develop an ability to engage in a reciprocal ministry with the elderly. Methodology included the praxis circle of the author's experience, social analysis of cultural and societal attitudes toward agedness, theological reflection on concepts of partnership based on the Great Commandments, resulting in a ten-lesson transgenerational curriculum on aging.
