  • This project developed, implemented and critiqued a team approach to local church planting, specifically within the university community in Tokyo, Japan. After developing a methodology based upon theological, theoretical and practical knowledge, the author convened a team of five church members committed to the mission work in Tokyo and closely guided them in using the team approach to planting a new church in Tokyo. The project demonstrates the effectiveness of a team approach to church planting in Tokyo and elsewhere as a model for church planting movement.
