Abstracto

Parish leaders of older adults need to increase their knowledge, attitude, and skills through continuing education. Primary is the need to increase the leader's understanding and awareness of the later years, to be more aware of program models, and to organize and evaluate programs. Through the use of a survey research model 300 leaders with various experience levels completed a questionnaire testing this hypothesis. The results are evaluated positively in terms of the response and through theological reflection. There is need for further testing using a pre-test and post-test evaluation to see what difference the results make in the lives of older persons.
