  • This project was designed to create avenues to foster and nourish relationships within the local church. Supervised subgroups of the congregation met in homes, called 'homegroups.' The homegroup leaders went through leadership training touching on areas such as theology for homegroups, biblical fellowship, crowd breakers, church outreach, sharing your testimony, servanthood, biblical caring, and prayer in small groups. Another subgroup called marriage-obics was instituted for young marrieds first, and then opened to all who were married. The strength of this ministry was in its practicality and spontaneity. Measurement of success was made by written evaluation of the participants. In both cases there was a marked difference in the feeling of belonging to the church due to improved relationships.
