  • The study's purpose is to explore the key motif of hospitality and its related concepts. Programs expressing hospitality are reflected upon alongside the teaching of Jesus, the life of the early church, the traditions and experience of the Uniting Church in Australia and the socio-cultural context of the study, in order to develop a 'pilot project' model of Christian hospitality as an alternative to prevailing ministry/mission models. The study reveals that without an understanding and expression of the inclusive hospitality of the gracious God of Christian faith, no adequate appreciation of the Christian gospel is possible.
