  • Design and evaluation of a training manual to instruct children in basic biblical doctrines
Abstract
  • This dissertation project sought to develop a dispensational catechism to teach children biblical doctrine. A parent's training manual for teaching their children was written based on the Evangelical Free Church of America's doctrinal statement. Thirteen parents were recruited to test the manual with twenty-six children between the ages of five and twelve. Each week's lesson included Bible study, Scripture memory and catechism memory work. Due to the small sample size and the narrow focus of the group, further testing will be needed to validate the effectiveness of the manual.
