Abstract
  • This project explores perceptions, attitudes, knowledge, and involvement of missions students in two Bible colleges and one seminary in relation to poor people. Project surveys indicate that students perceive poverty, are bothered by the sight of it, know that God loves the poor, and yet they are not personally involved with the poor. The project proposes a curriculum that includes study of the poor in the Bible, church work with the poor, various economic development models, and theological reflection about poverty and Christian responsibility.
