Abstract
  • In an attempt to understand the relationship between church health and growth, a study was conducted of the ten fastest growing churches in the Tennessee District Church of the Nazarene. The criterion for participation in the study was a church growth of at least 50 percent over the past five years. A survey was conducted of the pastors and key leaders using a researcher designed questionnaire. The purpose of the questionnaire was to gain an understanding of the church health characteristics each church possessed. The study revealed that each growing church was indeed healthy, implying that a direct relationship appears to exist between church health and growth.
