- In a rural, Georgia county seat town, can a white, protestant, affluent congregation be in mission with an African-American, poor, declining community in non-patronizing ways? The author first defines the catalyst for the project. Through historical research and a brief analysis of the background materials, the author sets two goals to define the parameters for the project. Using ethnographic and pro-active research methods the author is able to bring a diverse group to the table and facilitate a meaningful dialogue that initiates significant strides in overcoming strained race relations.
