This project was designed to research the needs of the once-churched. The aim was to determine the issues that are importnt to once-churched individuals and how to shape sermons on these issues. During the project, both churched and once-churches individuals completed surveys to determine their feelings about the church and their personal needs. Four sermons were crafted in response to these surveys. Participants listened to and responded to each sermon. Changes were made to future sermons based upon the response each week. Upon final evaluation, this project demonstrated the value of shaping sermons to meet specific needs for both churched and once-churched participants.
