Abstrait

The passive way Chinese churches handle pastoral sexual misconduct cases calls for action. Through literature and professional research, checked by the Bible, the author discusses situations of pastoral sexual misconduct in North America today and Chinese cultural influence on the Chinese ways of dealing with conflicts. Having interviewed leaders from three Chinese churches and analyzed their by-laws, he shows that Chinese churches need to be aware of the negative impact of cultural background on their handling of such cases. Thus, the author provides practical guidelines and procedures to facilitate godliness in spite of ungodliness.
