  • Ministry is the duty of all persons, most especially Christians. To aid in this there is theological reflection, the ability to explore one's responses made to God. A three tiered plan was implemented to examine this: reflection groups were established in four ecclesiastically diverse congregations; each was nurtured in a theological reflective process for four to five weeks; and members were encouraged to further develop and use theological reflection skills. Failure came in that there was no ownership by participants of the reflection process; success came in the teaching of a new skill allowing them to reflect as lay ministers.
