- Abstract
- This project is the establishment of a model for an adult Christian education ministry within Trinity Baptist Church, an inner city Black Baptist church in the Bronx, NY. Black churches today need vital teaching ministries which teach the foundations of biblical and Christian doctrine and that affirm Black culture and religious experience. The purpose and intent of this project is the design, implementation, and management of an alternative and innovative adult Christian education ministry. The project focused on the development of curriculum, faculty, staff, promotion and publicity, and financing for this kind of educational ministry. The Trinity Bible Institute has become a successful alternative adult Christian education ministry and serves as a model for meeting the educational needs of Black churches in the 21st century.
