Abstracto

This project recognizes the need for equipping bivocational ministers for the task of expository preaching. Chapter 1 explores the church milieu of Thomas County, in particular the journey of Gatlin Creek Baptist Church which prepared them for their role in supporting this project. Chapter 2 provides the biblical, historical, and theological basis for preparing men for the task of preaching. Attention is given to the role of small groups in the process, as well as formal institutions. Chapter 3 explores the field of adult education. Of particular interest to this project is the setting in which adult education takes place. Chapter 4 is the record of the implementation of the project. The weekly topics for study along with the rationale for each is given as well as classroom methodology. Chapter 5 is an evaluation of the project. Subjective and objective evaluations are given as well as suggestions for further improvements.
