  • Day care centers are for women, so that they are free to become all that God intended them to become. Congregations which understand themselves as 'households of God' support different family systems encouraging women to be full participants in societal, professional and personal needs, etc. A 'household of God' practices equality because God abides equally in them. Research was based on a congregation-sponsored day care which closed during the study time. The closing was caused by economic changes, competition and the congregation's inability to make a commitment to women becoming all God intended them to become.
