This dissertation-project is a training manual for the non-professional volunteer who desires to work with senior adults in home, church, or community. The manual is designed to acquaint the volunteer with all aspects of the aging process including the needs of senior adults, the myths concerning seniors, and the anxieties common to the elderly. The book outlines how church congregations can work with seniors to help meet their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. An organizational model for a senior adults' group is included as well as surveys that can be used in communities and facilities for seniors. The project was researched through reading, surveys, observation, and personal interviews.
