Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip deacons and elders at Ginger Creek Community Church, Aurora, Illinois, to mentor potential deacons and elders. The project director researched numerous sources in order to develop a six-session curriculum for teaching mentoring skills. Experts in the fields of mentoring and curriculum development reviewed the research and curriculum throughout the project. The project director equipped thirteen men at Ginger Creek Community Church to mentor future leaders. He held the workshop in the spring of 2010. The project director administered evaluative tools to determine cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development.
