  • This project was designed to consider the journey of the Riverdale Congregation from over 50 years of decline to a relocation and restart as Stillwater United Methodist Church. The case study will focus on the strategic decisions made in the midst of renewal. This model of ministry extracted the principles, critical components, and elements that have been primary for the transition. Six principles for growth and renewal were discovered in the literature and diagnose the reality of the Stillwater Church, confirming and denying the application of these principles. The principles were found to be transferable and applicable to various settings.
