Abstrait

This project/dissertation examines the issues interchurch couples need to address prior to their marriage. Interchurch has been narrowly defined for the purposes of this study as a couple where one partner is Roman Catholic and the other practices another Christian tradition. Utilizing the Narrative Inquiry research method, the author explores the stories shared by interchurch facilitators of marriage preparation programs and interchurch engaged couples in an effort to develop a relevant marriage preparation session for interchurch couples. As a result of this study, the author found, among other findings, that interchurch marriage preparation is not only desired but needed to develop a foundation upon which the interchurch couple can become a strong interchurch family.
