Abstracto

This dissertation demonstrates Moses as a model for pastoral leadership, because he listened to God and lead according to God's command. The research focuses on occurrences in the book of Numbers in which the formulaic phrase 'Then the Lord spoke to Moses' indicates God's leadership of Moses. The scope of the project delimits the study to nine specific passages that are instructional to Christian pastors in the practice of contemporary church ministry. The project applies the experiences of Moses to those of modern pastors through principles and illustrations.
