  • This project explores the importance of father-and-son relationships, focusing on the experience of the 'male wound.' After an introduction, describing the parameters, the project defines and illustrates the male wound. References to psychological theory blend these insights with recent history of male development and father-and-son relationships. Two case histories illustrate the place of the male wound in therapy with clients. The project offers a theology of God as healing Father. A revised psychological approach leads to the process of healing the male wound, by rethinking and reworking father-son relationships. A theology of God as Father and Jesus as Son offers a paradigm for the healing of this wound.
