The author holds the premise that most marriages could be better if couples possessed and practiced certain skills and knowledge related to marriage. Research into the current literature on marriage, an interview with a clinical psychologist, and questionnaires indicate that communication and conflict resolution skills are vital for good marriages. Exercises are assigned to the couples during the seminar to put these skills into practice. The major biblical concepts of marriage and sexuality are presented. Post seminar evaluation shows that 75 percent of the twenty couples in attendance learn some communication conflict resolution skills as well as some biblical principles that would prove helpful toward enriching their marriages.
