  • Woman abuse in the United States is an epidemic. Overall, churches in North America have not effectively ministered to abused women. Lamenting their inadequacy in this area, clergy have expressed a desire for appropriate resources. Utilizing a time series design, this was an evaluative study of the effectiveness of the book No place for abuse to positively impact the attitudes of Asbury Theological Seminary students toward church ministry as it relates to woman abuse. As a result of their encounter with the intervention in this study, participants' attitudes were significantly influenced in a positive manner in all three areas of measurement (cognition, affect, intent).
