- Abstract
- After 145 years of British colonial rule, Hong Kong reverts to control by the government of China in 1997. Hong Kong citizens are apprehensive about the future of their country, and about 60,000 persons have emigrated from Hong Kong each year since 1991. Church and society face a leadership crisis. This project proposes to prepare Hong Kong church leaders for the transition to life and ministry under a Chinese Communist regime in Hong Kong, including issues of religious freedom, ethical problems, evangelism, and ministry to human need.
