Abstract
  • This project explores the relationship between corporate worship and church growth in the Haddock (Ga) Baptist Church. Based on historical analysis of Southern Baptist worship traditions and church growth materials offering sociological perspectives on worship planning for diverse populations, the project convenes a four-session workshop for core leaders of the church, concentrating on biblical, historical, theological, and cultural influences on corporate worship. Workshop participants then design four worship services based on what they have learned. The project offers suggestions for effective worship planning that will encourage church growth.
