  • Unity is the foundation for church ministry. When Temple and Grace Baptist Churches of Santa Barbara, California, merged they were united but not unified. By using small study groups, which sought to establish the church's mission vision, purpose and ministry, the new church, called Faith Baptist Church, would become unified. Merged ministries can be unified and the project provides support for this biblical truth, even though Grace Baptist Church chose to disunite. Faith Baptist Church is now unified to strengthen its ministry by applying the principles acquired through the project.
