Abstracto

In liturgical churches which observe a church calendar there is always the danger of taking it for granted. The research in this thesis concluded that many do. The resulting handbook is intended to give a clearer understanding to the reader of both the development of the liturgical calendar, and the theological implications of using it correctly. Readers of the handbook ought to better understand the history and be able to separate the spiritual myth which has grown up around the calendar.
