Abstract

The purpose of this project is to help a select group of persons from alcoholic families increase their level of spiritual awareness by means of interaction with selected biblical stories, the sharing of personal stories, and by an understanding of the alcoholic family dynamics. The project is conducted as a mission action group of the church's mission organization. Literary research is in the fields of narrative theology, developmental psychology, and the alcoholic family system. Social research utilizes a treatment effect research model. The project is successful in increasing the participants level of spiritual awareness.
