  • The thesis of this project is that the church must respond to adolescents who are undergoing parental divorce. This project presents one method of dealing with this problem. The type of therapy provided and examined in this context is group therapy sponsored by the church. The theological, psychological and practical implications of this therapy are examined as to their effects upon the group in general and the individual adolescents participating in the group. Case studies are also presented as a way of examining the group's effectiveness. The conclusion is that all the adolescents involved in this group received positive therapeutic help and that the church was and is an important place for this therapy to exist.
