Abstract
  • The purpose of this study is to guide a team of lay leaders in the design of an intentional process for developing and equipping spiritually healthy disciples. This study determined the effect of designing an intentional process using a team approach of pastor and thirty leaders. The study made use fo the sport of whitewhater rafting as an image for discipleship development. In this metaphor the church is an outfitter, providing the necessary resources and training for equipping disciples. The findings revealed that our team grew in fellowship, in commitment to their own personal discipleship development, and to implementing an intentional process.
